In Finland the answer usually is "in the sunshine as much as possible", but at the moment you even might choose the shady side of the road as the weather is so warm!

Continuing the series of houses for sale at Lake Balaton.
This is a huge 2-story corner house, which is actually consisting 2 apartments, so either downstairs or upstairs could be a rental unit.  The rooms were kind of, hmm, staged. Everything seemed to be in a pretty good condition, so not a perfect fixer upper, yet the style was too 90's. There were other downsides as well - such as no views,  too challenging yard, busy road and railway just opposite the house.   


























Asking price 28,9 million Hungarian forints (€96.300)

Just a house - without any character.

 Before I continue with the Balaton lake houses I'll show you a living room where my help was asked... Received these pics and the help was needed to choose a wall color for this living room. I have a feeling that a bit more than just a paint is needed... The 2 sofas, coffee table and bookshelf will stay...so not an easy task to make the space look warm and inviting...Made a mood board to help creating something out of this. 





Any ideas?

My Lunch

 Preparing a healthy lunch can't get any easier than this. Buy some vegetables like tomatoes, belly peppers, hot peppers, cucumber, garlic and basil. Cut them in wedges and put them to blender, add some sea salt and black pepper (I even added some cayenne pepper to be sure it will be hot enough!)and a dribble of olive oil. In a few seconds a soup is ready! 

My version of gazpacho.

ps. sometimes I add some shrimps to it. First I fry the shrimps lightly in a sauce pan with  a hint of oil and garlic.

What a view!
This house in Fonyod definitely has a gorgeous location up in the hills just next to Lake Balaton. 
It's probably been empty for some time as the garden is gone quite wild. The house itself needs a reno but it's not in an extremely bad shape. Lots of wood in every shades inside, kitchen basically missing almost totally... still saw potential in it. And can't get a better view than that, even though it's facing to north.
















The house of Eternal Love just next to it.

Asking price in May 42.000.000 HUF (€140.000) and in June the asking price been raised to 59.000.000 HUF (€197.000).

Scarlet Nails

 Back to the basic - meaning from pale & natural to bright & red.
I've been now 1,5 year without fake nails and gel, and my nails are still so weak. They split instantly when they grow to a certain length, that's why I'm seriously thinking going back to artificial ones. Or at least to add some strengthening gel to the surface. Even though my nails are extremely short I'm happy with the length, I'm not missing the old times when my nails were like this...and these I called short...




ps. the colorful background of the pics are actually my homey shorts, which I bought a year or two ago at HM. So light & loose. Love to wear them at home especially now the weather is pretty warm here.

Lunch At Púder

Had a lunch at Púder on Ráday utca in Budapest the other day. It's located in the beginning of the street near Ibis Hotel. The whole name of the restaurant is Púder Barszínház (Powder Bar Theatre), and it's representing now so popular ruinpub scene, even though it's not in a ruined premises.  Contemporary artist and ruinpub decorator Bertalan Babos Zsili and his team have design the interior. There are surreal collages and statues, run-down, colorful chairs and table. The place is busy in the evenings as there are all kinds of cultural happenings from quiet, sit-down events to theatrical performances and always temporary exhibition of paintings. 

I like to test Caesar salads in different places so that was a natural choice for me also on this time. Caesar salad with chicken was good and the portion wasn't too big. 

(Have to say that if you go to Tom George, I don't recommend their Caesar salad... the portion is huge and it's full of mayonnaise and doesn't taste like Caesar salad at all!)

The interior is rather busy, but not everything need to be so minimalist.
