Chia Seeds & ...

2014. május 05. - Zsiraf1201
I like to start the morning with a healthy breakfast with fresh berries & fruit which I mix with...
...a tablespoonful of chia seeds & soya milk..
...and I add some thin slices of ginger to it too, especially with apples.

Chia seeds are rich in Omega-3 and a great way to increase daily fiber. The taste is mild and it can be mixed with almost anything without grinding it.

For a snack I take a couple of bite-sized cacao-goji-chia-maca superfood snacks. They are high in fiber & vitamin C. They are pretty heavy and very addictive.

For lunch I prefer salads. Garden mixes are my favorites at the moment - I love the color of flowers and their mild taste.
Kale is also one of my favorites. I used to eat so much spinach that it was time to find something new to replace it for a while. Avocado, tomato & mozzarella makes salad a perfect lunch.

To continue the healthy way of eating I have some bundles for the afternoon snack. They are made of walnut, banana, almond butter, maca, mesquite, date, vanilla, cinnamon and pink salt. In the package there're only 6 pieces and they are quite costly so these bundles are not for my every day diet

Do I eat this healthy day after day? I wish I would, but everyone who knows me knows that I can't say no to chocolate. But that's not the only thing...
...I'm almost addicted to Diet Coke. I like soft licorice a lot...
 (There's also a blueberry one!)
...even though my stomach does't like it, I like to eat some (meaning the whole pint in one go!) ice-cream every now and then.
Chunky Monkey is my big time favorite.

No-one is perfect.

Beading

I made it myself!

I know these look more like a child had made them, but I'm so proud I finally could do something like these. For years I've been collecting different kinds of bead all over the world, but not yet succeeded to make anything out of them since now. Have to admit I needed to take some classes to learn how to make them step by step. "Intro to beading" was absolutely useful for me!

It's not just the beads you need, a variety of different tools is essential.
Pliers for wire looping. Round nose & flat nose pliers.
Pliers for crimping and cutters for wire cutting.

Beading board is a great help.
Findings: caps, cones, crimps, clasps, crimp tubes, cord ends... the list is endless.

 Glass beads.
 Time to start beading...

Design-wise far from perfect. But the idea was to learn the technique and after that I can concentrate the designs.
So beware, probably everyone I know will get one self-made piece of jewelry for present for xmas, birthday...

GlamGlow

Have you tried GlamGlow mask? I bought it already some time ago. It is said to be real a wonder-maker - a 10 minute professional "facial in a jar". My experience have been that it cleans the skin, makes it softer and takes some time to wash away.
Be careful with the lid! You need to close it properly otherwise it will dry. I needed to add a few drops of water to make it useable again.

I've been also using the GlamGlow eye mask. It's pretty easy to use and takes only 3 minutes. It must be wiped off before it gets dry, no water needed, just clean tissues. There are quite a lot in one portion so it's not only for under eye but also to the upper lid and around the whole eye area. The mask gives a fresh start for the day. Nice product.

My Lunch Salad

I love baby spinach - added some sprouts, grated carrot, olive oil, garlic, sea salt, black pepper and some shrimps. Perfect for lunch!
Nutrition facts of baby spinach:
It's very low in saturated fat and cholesterol. It's also a very good source of dietary fibre, vitamin A & C, calcium and iron.
The not-so-good side is that it's high in sodium.

Run For your Life

If you are a runner, you know the feeling when you wake up early in the morning, put your running shoes on and start running…and it's just flowing…you feel you could run like Forest Gump miles & miles without stopping.

When you get the flow, it doesn't matter whether you're running...
 …here...

 …or here...
…or here...
 …or here...
…or here.

All that matters is that you are moving not standing still.

Btw, just heard on TV that exercising is not just good for your body & mind but it might reverse skin aging as well!
Although because of the gravity running is not considered the best way of exercising in this point of view…Should I care? Not really!

Organic Beauty For Hair

I'm so pleased with these shampoo & conditioner by Organix.
My hair is very dry with split ends due to constant highlighting and aging… If I use products meant to this kind of damaged hair, it looks ok for a day but next morning it already starts to feel heavy and loosing its formula. Now it seems that finally I have found a shampoo & conditioner very close to perfect ones. These quenched Sea Mineral Moisture shampoo & conditioner makes the hair clean - with a lots of foam, which i like - and it stays feeling clean for a several days.
I'm almost obsessed with oils, so decided to to try this Argan oil of Morocco by the same brand.
The renewing weightless healing dry oil really feels weightless and gives a perfect gloss to the hair. it also promises to mend split ends…difficult to believe, but let's see what's the results after consuming the whole bottle.

sea mineral moisture

Quench dry, damaged hair with this nutrient rich blend of hydrating sea minerals along with healing algae to wrap split ends in repairing moisture, while supercharged sea kelp transforms dry, brittle hair into soft supple perfection.

Don't Regret

We might regret something that we did or didn't do.
I read an article where people near their death made a list of things they regretted in their life. Here're some of those regrets:

Not traveling when you had a chance.
Not learning another language.
Giving up without really trying.
Forgoing sunscreen.

Missing the chance to see your favorite band or artist.

Being afraid to do things.
Failing to make physical fitness a priority.
Letting yourself be defined by gender roles.
Not quitting a terrible job.
Not realizing how beautiful you are.
Being afraid to say "I love you."
Caring too much about what other people think.
Hesitating to make decisions.
Not standing up for yourself.
Not stopping to appreciate the moment.
Not spending enough time with loved ones.
Not to let go of your pain.
Never taking a big risk.
Falling to finish what you start.
Not being grateful sooner.
Staying in a bad relationship.
